1. Summary
The Apps are used to run a local venue queueing workflow:
- queue1 Display is used by customers to join a queue with a phone number.
- queue1 Controller is used by venue staff to manage queue serving.
The Apps exchange queue data over the local network and the queue1 Controller app also communicates with
https://www.queue1.au for queue integration features.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information entered by users
- Phone number entered in the queue1 Display app when joining a queue.
- Selected queue and generated ticket number.
2.2 Information created during app operation
- Queue state data (for example: queue ranges, last issued number, current serving number).
- Restaurant profile data shown in the app (for example: name and logo) when configured by the operator.
2.3 Device/network identifiers
For the queue1 Controller app:
- A queue1 Controller device identifier is used to keep the app identifiable for sync and recovery.
- On Android this may use
ANDROID_ID; on iOS this may useidentifierForVendor. - If platform identifiers are unavailable, a generated identifier is stored on-device for persistence.
For both apps:
- Local network service discovery information to connect queue1 Display to queue1 Controller on the same local network.
2.4 Diagnostics and analytics data
- Basic technical logs may be generated for troubleshooting (for example connection failures or API errors).
- Operational metrics may be generated (for example queue volumes, ticket issuance counts, and service response timing) to understand performance trends.
3. How We Use Information
- Connect queue1 Display devices to the local queue1 Controller device.
- Issue queue tickets and show queue progress.
- Generate ticket links through Queue1 services.
- Synchronize queue1 Controller queue state and policy settings with Queue1 services.
- Maintain app reliability and troubleshoot failures.
- Produce operational analytics (including aggregated trend reporting) to improve service quality, capacity planning, and support.
4. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information.
Information is shared only as needed to operate the queue service:
- Between devices on your local network: queue1 Display and queue1 Controller exchange queue messages.
- With Queue1 services (
queue1.au): queue1 Controller sends queue events/state and related identifiers to Queue1 API endpoints to support ticket link creation and Controller sync. - Legal/safety disclosures: only if required by applicable law or valid legal process.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- queue1 Display app: phone input and ticket state are primarily handled in memory during active use.
- queue1 Controller app: queue runtime state is handled in memory; queue1 Controller identity may be stored on-device so the app can remain identifiable across restarts.
- Data sent to Queue1 services may be retained on Queue1 systems according to operational and legal needs.
You can typically remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in device settings.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical measures intended to protect data in transit and prevent unauthorized message tampering.
Important:
- queue1 Controller-to-Queue1 API traffic uses HTTPS.
- queue1 Display-to-queue1 Controller traffic is designed for trusted local networks and may use local
ws://transport. - If you use untrusted/public networks, data could be at higher risk.
7. Permissions Used
INTERNET: required for local network communication and Queue1 API communication.- Local network discovery permissions: used to find queue1 Controller on LAN.
The Apps do not request sensitive permissions such as contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location for core operation.
8. Children
The Apps are business/venue tools and are not directed to children.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information.
To make a request, contact info@queue1.au.
If you are a customer who entered a phone number at a venue, you may also contact that venue directly to handle queue-related requests.
10. International Data Transfers
If Queue1 or related infrastructure processes data in countries different from your own, data may be transferred internationally with safeguards appropriate to applicable law.
